With thirty-five years of operational experience within air transportation, Jim Sokol serves as President of HAECO Americas MRO Services. His responsibilities include overseeing all of HAECO Americas airframe overhaul and maintenance, line maintenance and engine overall services. Prior to joining HAECO, Jim held several leadership positions within Southwest Airlines, including Vice President of Maintenance & Engineering, Vice President of Maintenance Operations, Director of Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Planning, Regulatory Compliance, and Maintenance Reliability. He has also worked as a Line and Overhaul Mechanic, Non Destructive Testing Inspector and Quality Control Inspector.
Sokol held a designated airworthiness representative (DAR) authority from the Federal Aviation Administration, licensed through University of Texas Department of Health Bureau of Radiation Control as an Industrial Radiographer, Radiation Safety Officer and Industrial Radiation Instructor. He earned a certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Technology and Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) license through Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL.
