Kurt Kinder is responsible for the maintenance activities in the daily operations of Alaska Airlines fleet of 737’s. He is responsible to the Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering for the technical efforts of the Line Maintenance Department.
Kurt started with Alaska Airlines in 1988 as an aircraft cleaner then steadily accepted more responsibility as Aircraft Technician, Line Supervisor, Manager of Heavy Maintenance and Director, Maintenance Operations/Airworthiness. In 2005, he was promoted to his current position of Director of Maintenance and Managing Director, Line Maintenance. Kurt also holds a key role in the airline’s Operations Council, a cross-divisional team that leads the airlines operational performance efforts.
Kinder earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington and holds an Airframe and Powerplant License.
