The Future of Mid-to-Late-Life Assets
Sponsored by Pratt & Whitney

The pandemic has brought more uncertainty to how airline customers and lessors will manage their aircraft fleets, and in particular their mid to late life assets. A Pratt & Whitney moderator will lead a panel discussion with a cross section of industry experts to understand the trends in regard to economic life, valuation, conversions, and MRO challenges. We’ll explore the changing market needs, how the industry is responding to address these needs, and the case for keeping assets in this critical 12+ year old category in service.

  • Moderator: Dan Kirk, Regional VP - Global Leasing, Cargo & Aftermarket Sales for Commercial Engines, Pratt & Whitney
  • Steve Gaal, Managing Partner, SkyWorks
  • Adrian Deasy, VP Technical and Head of Powerplant, BBAM
  • Ursula Hurley, Head of Treasury & Investor Relations, JetBlue

EFW’s Expansion from OEM Composite Supplier into Aftermarket Player
Sponsored by Sponsored by ST Engineering

EFW (Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH) is a First-Tier and largely single source supplier for the entire AIRBUS family for composite PAX and Cargo floor panels and linings as well as cabin interiors. Whenever you fly with an Airbus, you step on floor made by EFW. EFW, as a center of competence in composites, focusses on leveraging our deep knowledge to support airlines facing market challenges that require cost reductions and supply chain alternatives. Through its experience in the OEM business, EFW sees many similarities in requirements in the aftermarket, notably highest product quality and performance, with additional challenges such as flexibility, customization, increased product performance, short lead times, alternative certifications, and, of course, the expectation of commercial benefits. The presentation will discuss requirements and needs of aircraft operators in the aftermarket spare parts business and will introduce the audience to EFW’s aftermarket solutions and goals.

  • Dr. Christoph Jahn, Program Manager Aftermarket Sales, EFW – Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH
